Why LEWA?

Hey, beautiful! I’m Trina,  the creator and owner of LEWA Candle Company. You might’ve already read a little about me on the "About the Owner" page, but I wanted to take a moment here to go a little deeper and really share the heart behind LEWA.

So... why LEWA?

As a woman, a wife, and a mom of four, I know firsthand how easy it is to lose little pieces of yourself while trying to be everything to everyone. Life, relationships, motherhood... they all have a way of pulling at us. And before we know it, we’ve put ourselves on the back burner. That’s why I created LEWA... to celebrate women, and everything we are. The strong, soft, powerful, emotional, ever-evolving women that we are.

LEWA actually means beautiful, and that’s really the core of what this brand is all about celebrating the beauty of life, the beauty of womanhood, the beauty of your journey… and most importantly, the beauty of 'you'. Every single part of you.

One of the biggest things I try to remind myself (and other women) of is this: "don’t compare your path to someone else’s". It’s so easy to get caught up in what everyone else is doing or how they’re showing up. But your journey? It’s 'yours.' And that makes it beautiful in its own right. You don’t have to do it like her. You just have to do it like 'you'.

At the heart of LEWA is a simple message: self-love is everything. Not the fluffy kind ...the real kind. The kind that means giving yourself grace, making space for your own needs, and letting go of the idea that you always have to have it all together.

And since true self-love includes 'how' we care for our bodies and minds, I’ve made sure LEWA products are made with clean, safe ingredients... no harsh chemicals, no junk. Just things you can feel good about bringing into your space and putting on your skin. Because taking care of yourself should feel good 'and' be good for you.

LEWA isn’t just about candles. It’s a vibe. A reminder. A movement. I want women to feel seen here, to feel encouraged, inspired, and reminded that who they are is more than enough. That loving yourself, all the way, is the most powerful thing you can do.

And I’d love to hear from you. If anything here speaks to you, or if there’s something you’ve been walking through that you want to share..let’s start the conversation. Whether it’s about motherhood, healing, or finding yourself again, you’re not alone.

LEWA is more than wax and wicks..

It’s a celebration.

It’s a safe space.

It’s a sisterhood.

And YOU are a part of it.

Can’t wait to connect. 💛
