I don't know if you've ever noticed that one of our coconut beeswax candles may look a little creamier than another...or if that's just the candle maker in me noticing these things.
As I've been testing a new batch of beeswax recently, I've found myself looking at candles throughout my workspace. Some have a slightly creamier appearance, while others are a little whiter. They're all made with the same care and the same commitment to natural ingredients, yet each has its own subtle character.
And that's exactly what I love about working with nature.
Unlike synthetic waxes, natural beeswax isn't manufactured to be identical from batch to batch. The flowers the bees visited, the season, the region, and even how the wax is filtered can all influence its natural color. Those small differences don't mean the beeswax is better or worse...they're simply part of working with a real, natural ingredient.
At LEWA, we don't add artificial colorants to make every candle look exactly the same. Instead, we embrace the natural beauty that comes with using ingredients just as nature intended.
In a world where so many products are designed to look perfectly uniform, I think there's something refreshing about a candle that reflects the uniqueness of the beeswax it was made from. Every slight variation is a reminder that no two harvests and no two candles are exactly alike.
To me, that's not an imperfection. It's one of the beautiful things about choosing natural :)
