Surviving Chaos: My Guide to Keeping It Together

You ever have one of those weeks where nothing seems to go right? Well for me, it has definitely been one of those weeks! It feels like I've been stuck in a snooze-button time loop, always waking up late! And don't get me started on the dogs...I swear they think they're vacuum cleaners, gobbling up anything they find on our walks. Surprises keep popping up left and right, throwing my day off track, and despite feeling busy, I look back and wonder, "What did I even accomplish today? Now, I barely drink caffenated beveraged, but this week...me & caffeine have been besties! It's one of those weeks where you're kind of happy the week is almost over. Which I find super funny! My minds like, "When Monday gets here... I can start over FRESH!" Lol. But, why do I need to wait til Monday?! Every day is a new day to start fresh.

So, what I do to combat these weeks of chaos in my busy, crazy life is to first give myself grace! I CANNOT. CONTROL. EVERYTHING!! There will always be times where life throws a wrench in your day, and you have to learn to pivot. So what I do, is I take a moment to analyze my day. Could I have planned better? What needs immediate attention, and what can wait? Did I set time limits/due dates for tasks? Could I have delegated a task or two to someone else? (which I need work on, because if you are anything like me, you like to get things done, and like to get it done quickly and your way! Lol). But this helps me stay on track.

I also consider my nighttime routine. Is there anything I could have done to get to sleep earlier? Could I have done something the night before to free up time in the morning? Could I have set my alarm clock across my room to force me to get out of bed?! Lol...yeah! I could have. These are things that I have to remember to do when I start to feel overwhelmed. It definitely helps.

And one important thing I don't want you to forget....and that's to include yourself in your plans. As women, moms, and momtrepreneurs, we tend to put ourselves last, but self-care is a priority. Schedule in some time to do something you enjoy...watch your favorite show, light your LEWA Candle & read a book, order some food from a place you like, or shoot!! if you got time..go to the place and eat! Taking care of you is essential.

So, as you navigate through your own chaotic weeks, remember my tips. Give yourself grace, analyze your day, prioritize self-care, and remember, every day is a fresh start.
